In order to enrich our school life and build up our body , our school are going to hold a sports meeting on the school playground.

     The sports meeting will last from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on Friday, Oct.18.  There will be many different kinds of events, such as long jump, high jump, running, throwing and so on. All students that would like to take part in it can sign up for it before Oct. 8.

      All students are welcome to the sports meeting. We hope all of you will arrive on time and your presence will certainly encourage the students that are competing.

I’m so glad that you lent me such an interesting English novel. I’d like to return it to you as soon as I finish reading it, but something unexpected happened. I’m writing to show my great regret.

I've learned from the newspaper that your company is looking for a receptionist. I’m very interested in the job and I’d like to apply for the position.

Good news for you! An English club will be opened on May 1, 2015. It aims to broaden the students’ horizons and arouse your interest in English.

The Club is a platform where we can do many things. Firstly, we can discuss lots of things on our interest or the hot topic around us. What’s more, we can develop our understanding of the differences between the eastern and western cultures. In addition, kinds of English activities will be held regularly, such as English Speech Competition, English Debate Contest and so on.

I’m sure the club will be of great benefit to our English study. And every one of us is welcome to join in it.

I’m a senior 3 student in a high school. I have been fond of collecting stamps since I was a child. As far as I’m concerned, collecting stamps is a good hobby, helping me to learn a lot. Besides, it not only gives me great satisfaction but also helps me relieve the pressure of studies.
